For the love of tea

1 2 3

I’ve always admired people who find pleasure in something as simple as a cup of tea. In addition to their appreciation of tea, they’re also benefiting from the strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties derived from the polyphenols, which include tannins. Some believe black tea and green-tea consumption may have the power to potentially reduce the risk of certain kinds of cancer and diabetes, help prevent blood clotting, and lower cholesterol. Theanine, an amino acid found in tea, aids in stress reduction and relaxation. The polyphenols in green tea can even potentially reduce the free radicals caused by UV rays, providing protection against skin damage from the sun.

Living simply

Bare Tea began the way many simple, great things do: a late-night conversation between friends.

It had been a rough year—one that left me feeling empty and incomplete—and as my friend and I sat around a table in his small New York apartment, we talked about what it would be like to live without all of the distractions. To live an uncomplicated life. To notice every moment, and celebrate them, too. We dreamed of living simply.

Enjoy the smallest things

As the night wore on, one cup of tea turned into two, and the dream became a goal. We were convinced: true joy is found when life isn’t rushed. It’s found while enjoying the smallest things, while sitting and talking and sipping late into the night. Three years have passed, and I’m even more convinced of that now than I was then. If something as uncomplicated as a fragile leaf of tea steeping in water offered me respite from a hard day, clarity in the moment, and provided the space needed to look forward to tomorrow, I’m sure it will for you as well. It’s because of that night’s conversation, and the conviction that’s remained, that Bare Tea was born.

The purest experience

My hope is that you’ll have many great moments, and share even greater conversations, while enjoying the taste, aroma, and healthy benefits of a perfectly steeped cup of Bare Tea. Adhering to these principles, we at Bare Tea only offer 100% Organic single-origin teas and high quality Matcha.

Single-origin means that each tea comes from a specific region and is not blended with teas from other regions. This gives the purest experience possible. Unlike other companies who offer low-grade tea dust, all of our sachets contain the highest quality whole leaf single-origin teas. This allows you to have the quality of loose-leaf tea in an easy to brew sachet. Bare Tea large sachets contain no strings, tags and staples so it is 100% biodegradable and Non GMO.

Tea is simple; we want to keep it that way. Bare Teas are always free from artificial colors and flavors:

Organic Japanese Sencha

Sencha is one of Japan’s most popular and beloved teas. Farmers harvest sencha green tea from the top leaves and buds of plants grown in full sunlight. These young, antioxidant rich, high quality tea leaves, are gently steamed to release its light green color and healthy components.

Health Benefits:

Japanese Sencha green tea possesses a high content of antioxidants and polyphenols. These two components aid in neutralizing the harmful effects of free radicals, responsible for many dreadful

diseases. Bare Tea organic sencha whole leaf sachets produces a smooth, sweet tasting flavor with a delicate aroma.

Organic Chinese Yunnan Gold

This exquisite Black tea comes from the Yunnan Province of China, which is known as the birthplace of tea. This black tea is one of a kind. It is nearly completely comprised of golden tips, which produces a silky smooth feel, golden color and a sweet honey aroma. Yunnan gold is a tippy tea, meaning that it is high in leaf buds, and is named for the fact that its leaves are golden in color. Young tea buds are purer and more tender.

Health Benefits:

They contain more antioxidants and health benefits. Bare Tea organic Yunnan gold whole leaf sachet is definitely one of our favorite teas!!

Matcha Café Blend

Matcha is produced with Japanese tea leaves that are grown in the shade beneath screens and straw to increase its chlorophyll content. These chlorophyll-rich leaves are then handpicked, steamed, dried and ground into a fine green powder by the same process used over 800 years ago. It’s the only tea that the whole leaf is consumed.

Health Benefits:

Matcha is extremely high in antioxidants. Bare Tea  Matcha Cafe Blend contains pure Matcha green tea powder and is only slightly sweetened with pure cane sugar, making it easy to create delicious green tea flavored drinks.

Tea is a healthy drink

According to Dr Carrie Ruxton, public health nutritionist and colleagues at Kings College London, looked at published studies on the health effects of tea consumption "Drinking tea is actually better for you than drinking water. Water is essentially replacing fluid. Tea replaces fluids and contains antioxidants so it's got two things going for it.""In terms of fluid intake, we recommend 1.5-2 liters (6-8 glass) per day and that can include tea. Tea is not dehydrating. It is a healthy drink."- Dr Ruxton said. All tea drinks are not created equal. The body’s access to the good stuff in tea might be determinate by the tea variety, quality and the way it was brewed.
