If you enjoy the heartfelt, personal songwriting of artists such as Lifehouse, Taylor Swift, or Daughtry, then you'll love singer/songwriter/guitarist Mike Squillante. He is not your average "open-mic night, acoustic guitar, softly-singing" singer/songwriter. "Backward Glances, Second Chances," Mike's debut album, is a rousing collection of expertly written and produced radio-ready pop/rock songs, laden with catchy hooks and melodies as well as engaging, heart-wrenching lyrics and story lines. This is Nashville-style writing in a pop/rock setting. Every one of the fourteen tracks were labored over extensively by Mike himself, all the way from the primitive writing stage to the actual engineering and production of the album. Along the way Mike conceptualized, directed and starred in two professionally made music videos for album tracks "Valentine's Day" and "Three Flights Down" (viewable at youtube /mikesquill) and personally designed the cover and insert artwork for his album. These powerful songs will be stuck in your head for days and will become a soundtrack for your everyday life. There is always a second chance, no matter how tight your hold is on the past.
