Is it possible to make a 3 seed snack so delicious? They say “simple things are the best”, Wellness magazine went on a mission to find an easy 3-ingredient snack, which can fulfill our cravings and be health at the same time... and we found one.

Yes, it is!  

Nutri Seeds® was born in 2008. It was motivated by the need in the market and the great tendency to be more aware of feeding your body healthy, to get a snack, that will provide great nutritional value, and is also easy to handle as the mini bites, providing convenience, which is today what consumers are looking for.

In that same year was born the first Sesame Seed snack Sugar Free, sweetened with Stevia, which is a natural sweetener. Being the pioneers in developing a seed-based snack sweetened with Stevia, and also have high nutritional value.

What you should to know about ingredients:

Flax seeds - The seeds come from flax, one of the oldest fiber crops in the world. Flax seeds are a source of healthy fat, antioxidants, and fiber; modern research has found evidence to suggest that flax seeds can also help lower the risk of diabetes, cancer, and heart disease.

Sesame seeds - Not only are sesame seeds an excellent source of copper and a very good source of manganese, but they are also a good source of calcium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, vitamin B1, zinc, molybdenum, selenium, and dietary fiber.

Sunflower seeds - Sunflower seeds are a good source of vitamin E the body's primary fat-soluble antioxidant and healthy bones and energy production magnesium. Sunflower seeds are also a good source of selenium, a trace mineral that is of fundamental importance to human health.

Start a business and grow it requires many hours of work, a lot of imagination and great sacrifices. At the beginning, with no resources to pay for employees; Carlos performed any task that was necessary.  In many cases their workdays exceeded 16 hours, but neither tiredness nor difficulties overcame him. They were gradually incorporating machinery and technologies to increase production and to meet the high demand.

Carlos met his current wife Carmen Rios, in 1997, becoming a perfect combination, two young entrepreneurial with a vision to conquer a big dream to turn that small business located in a Caribbean Island (Puerto Rico), in a leader industry in their category.  Using the highest quality of ingredients, and an unique process of confectionery, Dulzura Borincana has achieved highlight their snacks in a market that is becoming more and more competitive.

Today, 19 years later, with a manufacturing facility of 22,000 square feet, they have reach to expand their logistic around the entire island of Puerto Rico, through wholesalers, supermarkets, airport, hotels, pharmacies, department stores and retailers.

In addition, their products are reaching more than 40 states in the United States through mega stores chain like Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Burlington.  They are also available in the supermarkets in New Jersey, New York and Miami, FL.
