Healthy Skin, Healthy Body

Nothing shows off the radiance of a person more than their healthy, glowing skin. And ultimately, you cannot have healthy skin without first having a healthy body. Remember, health always begins on the inside!

Proper nutrition and skin cleansing are vital for that healthy glow everyone are looking for but if you have acne or blemishes, or suffer from chronic skin conditions, this often signifies that something is not quite right on the inside.

Many internal imbalances of the body show up through our skin. For instance, our liver and kidneys have many functions, however, one of the main functions is that they are chiefly responsible for eliminating waste and toxins from the body. If vital organs such as the liver or kidneys are struggling to process and remove toxins from our body, we may notice signs on our skin such as acne, eczema, dark circles around the eyes, puffiness and even rashes.

Alongside these symptoms, we may also feel sluggish, low in energy and experience brain fog. The body is a fully interconnected system but it does need support to ensure it maintains its functions and processes well!

Exceptional skin starts from the inside

Your diet plays a very important role in having a healthy body and healthy skin. Eat all of your food as minimally processed as possible. Eat food as close to its natural form as you can.

Aim to eat more of the good stuff such as:

  • Foods high in omega 3 fats, DHA and EPA

  • Quality animal proteins from free-range, grass-fed, or wild-caught sources

  • Sulfur rich vegetables: Kale, broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, etc.

  • Fruits and berries: low glycemic options like strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, cantaloupe, and raspberries are some of the best choices

  • Healthy fats from sources like coconuts, avocados, extra virgin olive oil.

Foods to minimize or avoid:

  • High glycemic carbohydrates such as bread, pasta, most baked goods and desserts, ice cream, milk chocolate, sugar.

  • Any foods you may be intolerant to or have an allergy to. This may require an elimination diet to find the culprit but some of the common foods that people have reactions to that can affect their skin are: dairy products, soy, gluten, eggs, and nightshades.

  • Vegetable oils: usually too high in omega 6 fatty acids, highly processed and go rancid very easily. Use extra virgin olive oil instead.

Natural Products and supplements

Natural products that we use on our skin can also help to reinforce the strength that we build within through good nutrition, exercise and adequate rest. Utilizing natural products means that we don’t put so much pressure on the liver and kidneys to process and eliminate waste and toxins caused by using too many chemically based products that send our organs into overdrive.

Innate Skin develops and markets natural products for exceptional skin in men and women, with a focus on healing the skin from the inside. They focus on vitamin-based skincare that truly feeds your skin what it needs. Alongside a good diet, these skincare treasures can really help to give you much healthier looking skin!

Support from supplements with the Clear Skin Vitamin Pack

Changes in your diet and making healthy food choices aren’t always enough to get your skin blemish-free. Even with great intentions, it is easy to fall into old habits or just slip up now and then. When it comes to healthy skin and a healthy body, consistency is vital. It is the small things that we do daily that have the greatest impact over time.

Generally, if you are eating well and you still have adult acne, there are two main reasons. You can either be deficient in a particular vitamin/mineral (s) or your hormones may be out of whack. Both these reasons can cause major imbalances that lead to skin break-outs, acne, and a range of other skin conditions.

The founder of Innate Skin, Kevin Coulter, had searched for many years to solve his back and shoulder acne problem that had started when he was a teenager. After going on Accutane twice and suffering through its side effects, then still having the acne come back, he started searching for a more natural solution.

This led to the development of the Clear Skin Vitamin Pack, which first came on the market in 2013. Research showed that many acne sufferers, especially those with adult acne, were deficient in either vitamin A, E, or Zinc. By solving those deficiencies and including many other complementary vitamins, minerals and herbs, a natural acne fighter was born!

The Clear Skin Vitamin Pack is available in a 30 day or 60 day supply.

“The Clear Skin Vitamin Pack™ is a combination of vitamins, minerals, and herbs known for their benefits to the skin. It won’t just help you clear up your acne- it will help your skin glow. Glowing skin is healthy skin”- Innate Skin

Skin Exfoliation with the Clear Skin AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser

After the success of the Clear Skin Vitamin Pack, Innate Skin’s regular customers then started asking for a face wash that was not as harsh on their skin as benzoyl peroxide face washes. They wanted something that could be used with sensitive skin but would still be a good exfoliator.

Innate Skin knew that the new product would need to be good with acne and also help fight the signs of aging- a common bugbear of many!

With these criteria in mind, the Clear Skin AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser was developed. AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) is water-soluble and works to cleanse the surface of the skin. BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid) is oil soluble and can get deeper into the pores to remove dead skin cells and excess sebum.

Jojoba beads gently exfoliate the skin while not harming the environment like some other exfoliators. These three ingredients combined with many others work together to fight acne while reducing redness and fine lines.

Hormonal Support with DIM Complex Skin Formula

Some women will have trouble with their skin and adult acne because their bodies have trouble regulating their hormones. For many women, hormones can be a raging battlefield and they will be heavily affected mentally and emotionally by hormone imbalances (as well as physically!).

Gaining hormonal balance is tricky to navigate- and Innate Skin knows this, this is why they set out to create a product of value for women seeking hormonal support.

A natural herbal product came onto the market several years ago called DIM (diindolylmethane) to help women with their menopause symptoms. DIM is a compound found in cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, Brussel sprouts, and kale.

DIM blocks androgen receptors while encouraging the production of friendly estrogen metabolites and discouraging the production of more potent and inflammatory estrogens that can lead to hot flashes, PMS, and fat storage.

It was soon realized that DIM also did great things for the skin and acne when nothing else seemed to work so, naturally, Innate Skin added DIM to their line of skincare vitamins!
