Weight loss through the eyes of Dr. Eric Berg

Health and weight loss are not destinations, they are in fact a journey that we undertake in order to live life vibrantly and fully. Dr. Eric Berg knows about the transformative power of diet. Somewhere about 1992 or so, Berg realized that he was killing himself with food. After learning he was hypoglycemic (an early sign of oncoming diabetes), he began cutting back on refined carbohydrates and sugar. As he moved gradually toward a completely ketogenic diet, he noticed he began “aging backward,” and “was losing weight, acquiring lean muscle, becoming stronger, looking younger, and getting healthier and more energetic almost daily.”

After two years of eating ketogenic and seeing what it did for his mind and body, he vowed to share his new way of life with the world. He had reversed his hypoglycemia, reversed his arthritis, lost 40 pounds, and was in the best physical and mental shape he’d ever been in. He now wanted to help other people achieve improved health eating a lower carbohydrate life.
